The final polls have closed in the Indiana primary, in which longtime Republican Sen. Dick Lugar is being challenged by state Treasurer Richard Mourdock.
Most of the polls closed an hour earlier, at 6 p.m. ET. At time of writing, with 5 percent of precincts reports, Mourdock is ahead by a 61%-39% margin in the partial results.
Indiana is mostly in the Eastern Time Zone, with the exception of two clusters of counties near Evansville in the south, and Gary in the northwest. Those remaining counties’ polls close an hour later.
