Mexico released video footage on Tuesday night showing the weekend escape of the Sinoloa cartel leader Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán from a maximum-security facility.
In the video, Guzmán paced his cell from the bed to the shower. He then put on his shoes, returned to the shower and disappeared. It has since been reported that a hole in the floor of his shower led to a mile-long tunnel for his Saturday night escape.
The Mexican government is offering a $3,8 million award (60 million pesos) for his recapture, according to the Associated Press.
Guzmán was captured in Mexico in February 2014 after spending 14 years on the run following a 2001 prison escape.

This guy can build a tunnel pretty fast. Did he rescue those Chilean miners a while back?

It would be a feat of extraordinary engineering to dig a mile long tunnel and pop up in El Chapo’s shower even with blue prints.
As Trump would say - the Mexicans are killing us on infrastructure.
