Former Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie is expected to make a low-key entrance into the Virginia Senate race Thursday, the Washington Post reported.
An anonymous person with knowledge of Gillespie’s plans told the Post the former RNC chairman won’t hold a public event to launch his bid, but will instead debut a new campaign website.
Gillespie has made no secret of his plans to challenge incumbent Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), and apparently removed a clip of him discussing comprehensive immigration reform from his website in preparation for the Senate run.
