Creigh Deeds: ‘Some Wounds Won’t Heal’

Creigh Deeds tweeted a message to supporters on Friday, his first public statement since he suffered multiple stabbing wounds in an incident that culiminated with his son’s suicide.

I am alive so must live. Some wounds won’t heal. Your prayers and your friendship are important to me

The Virginia state senator and former Democratic gubernatorial candidate was discharged from the hospital on Friday. His son, Gus Deeds, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Tuesday.
