Democratic Virginia state Sen. Creigh Deeds was discharged from the hospital Friday morning, after suffering multiple stab wounds in a Tuesday altercation that left his son Gus dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, CNN reported.

NEW: UVA Health Systems tells #CNN Sen #CreighDeeds was discharged from UVA Medical Center earlier this morning.
