TAMPA, Fla. — The first real day of the Republican National Convention here kicked off Tuesday as scheduled after supporters of Ron Paul caused a bit of a scene in the minutes leading up to RNC Chairman Reince Priebus’s appearance on stage.
The convention officially opened Monday but was closed a minute later after organizers decided to cancel the activities in anticipation of the weather system known as Isaac.
