Stephen Colbert noted during Monday’s “Colbert Report” how much President Obama is beginning to sound like former President George W. Bush.
Colbert talked about Obama’s recent interview with “60 Minutes” during which the President said the CIA had underestimated the threat from the extremist group Islamic State.
“S’cuse me, sir?” Colbert said. “Bombing the Middle East then throwing the CIA under the bus is kinda George Bush’s thing.”
Colbert played a clip of Bush, when he was in office, doing just that by announcing that he’d received inaccurate intelligence.
“Yes, much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong,” Colbert said. “But not all of it. There was a country called Iraq. It will be missed.”
Accusing Obama of copying his predecessor wasn’t unique to Colbert however. He played a series of clips showing political pundits mentioning the similarity, one even going so far as to say if you closed your eyes you could picture Bush giving the speech.
“Oh, of course,” Colbert agreed. “Every time I close my eyes I can hear George W. Bush giving a speech.”

Huh? Did you actually read the article and watch the video before you posted your comment? Have you actually paid any attention to the actual speech that the President gave before the UN? Or, like the Fox News pundits Colbert is skewering, did you just jump to conclusions based on your own bias in order to conceive an inaccurate and irrelevant opinion? Farce, indeed.

I too have noticed UFGs predilection toward applying his own biases even when they are inapplicable to the article at hand. He seems to prefer to use his tried and true ready fire aim pattern to everything rather than taking the time to read the article and do any actual thinking.
I used to argue with or even attack him over this but now realize doing so is not worth the effort.
