Stephen Colbert noted on Tuesday night’s “The Colbert Report” that America had entered day seven of the global pandemic known as “Ebolapalooza.”
“You can smell the fear,” Colbert said, “thanks to heroes like CNN who have asked the question ‘Ebola: The ISIS of biological agents?'”
CNN was correct in that comparison, he said.
“Scientists have long compared diseases to murderous madmen,” Colbert said. “That’s why epidemiologists called tuberculosis ‘Lung Hitler.'”
But he noticed just one person has remained “irresponsibly calm” about this deadly pandemic: “President Barack Ebola.”
