Hillary Clinton is projected to win the Delaware primary Tuesday. Her victory comes after polling showed her leading rival Bernie Sanders in the state. Her victory was called around 8:30 p.m. by MSNBC and ABC.

Delaware’s polling however was sparse compared to other states, and it showed the Democratic primary race to be tighter than the other contests being held Tuesday. So both campaigns paid considerable attention to Delaware.

The Clinton campaign hosted events in the state in the day’s leading up to Tuesday’s primary. At a Wilmington rally the former Secretary of state appeared at earlier this week, she was joined by Delaware Gov. Jack Markell (D), Rep. John Carney (D-DE), Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE). Her husband former president Bill Clinton and other campaign surrogates also stumped on the Dem frontrunner’s behalf in the state.

The Sanders campaign had launched its own effort in the state as well. He hosted a rally there over the weekend, and some of his more famous supporters, including Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, (of Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream) and actress Rosario Dawson made appearance in Delaware to stump for Sanders.

Delaware allots its delegates proportionally. It also has 10 superdelegates
