Speaking to reporters on her campaign plane on Tuesday morning after the first presidential debate, Hillary Clinton jabbed at Donald Trump for attributing his uneven performance to a “bum mic.”
“Anybody who complains about the microphone is not having a good night,” Clinton said when asked about his “stamina.” He’s repeatedly criticized the former secretary of state as lacking the stamina needed to be commander-in-chief.
Trump, who initially praised moderator and NBC News anchor Lester Holt’s “fair” questions, phoned in to “Fox and Friends” on Tuesday to insist that some of the questions that came his way were “hostile” and that a “terrible” microphone prevented the audience at Hofstra University from hearing his responses well.
