“Saturday Night Live” imagined this weekend who New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) had recommended to be presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. Besides himself, “SNL” envisioned Christie asking Trump to consider Bruce Springsteen.
Christie, played by “SNL” cast member Bobby Moynihan, told Trump, played by Darrell Hammond that the recommendation was outside the box.
“I mean, come on, he’s the boss. You’re the boss, he was born to run,” Christie said.
“He’s a Democrat,” Trump replied.
“He’s a god!” Christie shouted back.
The real Christie has’t been shy about sharing his love for Springsteen and was most recently spotted dancing and singing at one of the rocker’s concerts.

Surprised Dorfmann didn’t recommend Pinto
Sometimes political satire is plain dumb. It’s not even funny.
When they’re funny they’re funny, but this bit didn’t quite make it.
Springsteen deserves more respect from SNL than to be married to Chris Christie at Christie’s request.
It’s like insinuating that Trump and Lorne Michaels have a deep love affair because Trump keeps wanting it to be so. So everytime you think of Lorne, think about the “relationship” he has with Trump.
It works for Trump.

This community has a lot of people who are way more funny than this and who make me laugh out loud regularly when it comes to dissecting drumpf. They’re dealing with a man who’s a caricature himself. Can’t top that.
