With House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) opposing the fiscal cliff deal passed by the Senate and John Boehner’s speakership on the line, Team Cantor is downplaying any rift between the two men.
“Speaker Boehner and I are working with House Leadership and our conference to find best path forward,” Cantor said on Twitter.
Cantor spokesman Doug Heye said on Twitter that Cantor “stands with” Boehner. “Speculation otherwise is silly, non-productive and untrue,” Heye said.
