The office of California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) announced that Brown is undergoing treatment for localized prostate cancer on Wednesday.
“Fortunately, this is early stage localized prostate cancer, which is being treated with a short course of conventional radiotherapy,” said Dr. Eric Small, Brown’s oncologist, in a statement. “The prognosis is excellent, and there are not expected to be any significant side effects.”
Brown is expected to continue his full work schedule during the treatment.
