Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) responded on Thursday to Micheal Cohen’s guilty plea for lying to congressional investigators over the timing of business dealings for a Trump Tower in Moscow.
“There’s a reason people shouldn’t lie when they’re in front of a congressional investigation,” he said.
Tierney Sneed contributed reporting.
Make sure you keep that quote warm this coming January, Senator.
And yet every single word out of the mouths of anyone associated with the WH has been a verifiable lie…for coming on 2 years now. But you keep voting to protect them.
Somebody should tell Justice Kavanaugh about the implications…
“There’s a reason people shouldn’t lie when they’re in front of a congressional investigation,” said Burr, who, being a Republican, is still trying to figure out what that reason is.
I say we just teach him the hard way.
