John Boehner vowed Tuesday that he plans to run for Speaker of the House again next January.

“I told my colleagues two weeks ago I’m all in,” the Ohio Republican told reporters, when asked about his intentions. “I’m all in.”

It was the first news conference with his new leadership team, including incoming House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and incoming Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA). Outgoing Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), who will step down on July 31, did not attend the press event.
