Convicted Virginia ex-Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) may remain free while the Supreme Court mulls whether to take up his appeal.
The Court on Monday overturned a lower court’s rejection of McDonnell’s request to stay out from behind bars pending his appeal of federal corruption convictions, according to the Associated Press. It’s a win for the former governor, who otherwise would have had to report to prison to begin serving a two year sentence.
Because rich white felons with good hair don’t go to jail. Everyone knows that.
Oh for fucks sake! Can SCOTUS have held up a greater modern single example of inequality in this nation?
McDonnell isn’t even as tough as Martha Stewart.

I’m so sick of these entitled buffoons getting away scot free. This man deserves consequences. Just because he was in the military, so he served his country, doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve to do time for his corrupt practices. He’s blamed it on his wife and a bunch of other weak excuses. He needs to go to jail. We need our corrupt politicians to do time; it’s essential to the health of our democracy.
