The Federal Trade Commission, which has been investigating Google in two distinct probes — into Google’s alleged use of its dominance in search to disadvantage competitors in other markets, and into Google’s use of mobile patents from its subsidiary Motorola and other patents it acquired to try and ban competitors’ products — won’t resolve its issues with Google until “next year,” Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the situation.
