Fox News host Bill O’ Reilly called a founder of the Black Lives Matter movement a “loon” during his show Thursday night.

O’Reilly had also criticized the organization earlier in the week on “The O’Reilly Factor,” calling Black Lives Matter an “anarchistic group,” and questioned why famous individuals, such as Beyoncé and Jay Z, would donate to the cause.

Patrisse Cullors, one of the co-founders of the movement, responded to his comments on “HufPost Live” Wednesday. She said she was “mortified” O’Reilly called the organization an “anarchistic group.”

“It’s pundits like him the fuel anti-black racism. It’s pundits like him that allow for folks like Dylann Roof to have more ammunition. So, I think we need to hold him accountable,” Cullors said on the program and in a clip O’Reilly showed.

O’Reilly addressed Cullors during his “Tip of the Day” segment Thursday night when he gave advice for “when loons strike.”

“I get well-paid for having to deal with that kind of insanity, but you should not deal with it,” O’Reilly said, referring to Cullors’ comments.

He said to leave “irrational people” alone because they “rarely change.”

“If someone you know or encounter says anything irrational, walk away,” he said on his program. “Irrational people rarely change. Let them be.”
