On a Mitt Romney conference call Wednesday, Romney’s campaign staff weren’t able to say what Obama’s position is on the Lily Ledbetter Act, a signature Obama administration legislative accomplishment and part of the president’s outreach to the female electorate.
The long pause from the Romney staff after the Ledbetter question on the call was almost tailor-made for Democratic messaging on Republicans and women. And so in due course, the DNC pushed the audio out to reporters.
