A man accidentally shot his wife while demonstrating how to use a handgun in Cornwall, N.Y. on Friday night, the Times-Herald-Record reported.

The man was showing his wife how to use the gun’s tactical light when the weapon accidentally discharged, police told the Times-Herald-Record. The bullet struck the woman in the upper thigh.

The incident was still under investigation on Saturday, according to the Times-Herald-Record.
