Jon Huntsman will see your Late Show Top Ten list, Mitt Romney, and raise you a jam session with the Late Show band.
Huntsman appeared Wednesday night on David Letterman’s show — and sat in with Paul Shaffer’s CBS Orchestra.
Letterman showed an old photo of Huntsman in his younger, hirsute days, when he was the keyboard player in a fledgling rock band called “Wizard.”
“I was in high school. I thought I could make it big,” said Huntsman. “I wanted to be Paul Shaffer. You know, so if I’d made it as a musician, Dave, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you today — I’d be playing with the guys.”
At that point, Huntsman was invited to take over Shaffer’s piano, as he and the band played a rousing round of “Johnny B. Goode.” And after the late night appearance, Huntsman got back to the presidential campaign trail — the other thing where he still hopes he can make it big.
