Speaking on Fox News on Monday morning, Herman Cain denied politically explosive sexual harassment charges stemming from a Politico story last night, but he did acknowledge that he was “falsely accused” during his 1990s tenure at the National Restaurant Association.

“It is totally baseless and totally false,” Cain said.

Cain also declared that any other potential future charges against him and his campaign would be “trumped-up allegations” and “nothing else.”

When asked about another report that said his aides’ corporation may have broken campaign finance laws by illegally funding his campaign, Cain said it was news to him.

“I’m not aware of this report, my staff has not had time to go through it,” Cain said. “I didn’t even know about the report until you brought it up on the show.”

In response to questions as to why his wife has been absent from his campaign trail and whether voters would ever meet her, Cain replied that the country would have an opportunity very soon.

“You will meet my wife publicly in an exclusive interview that we are currently planning and anticipating.”
