The Boston bombing suspects — who allegedly engaged in a fierce gunfight with police on Thursday night, did not have gun permits, police in Massachusetts say — and, at 19 years old, the surviving suspect would have been too young to get one.

I’m sure someone must have recorded it. And there are undoubtedly official recordings. But I’d really be interested to re-hear the police scanner traffic from just before midnight running about the next hour and a half late Thursday into Friday morning. Apparently Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s wife is not eager to talk to the cops. Not surprising that she’s not looking forward to it. Assuming no knowledge or involvement, it’s hard to imagine what she’s going through. What surprises me is that I don’t think of federal officials taking no for an answer in these sorts of cases.
