Shots fired into Obama campaign office in Denver …

Denver police say someone has fired a shot through the window of President Barack Obama’s Denver campaign office.

Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez says people were inside the office when the shooting happened Friday afternoon, but no one was injured. A large panel of glass was left shattered at the office on West Ninth Avenue near Acoma Street.

Everyone Agrees!

From Barron’s

Personal Pollster

PollTracker is the political app of the moment.

The must-have campaign app of this political season is not from the Romney or Obama camp–though each has its own candidate for iPhones and Android devices. In these closing weeks the app of the moment is the free PollTracker, which keeps you wired with hour-by-hour updates of polls for both local and national races.

PollTracker defaults to a “Presidential Dashboard” with a big, clean scoreboard showcasing the Romney versus Obama race nationwide, based on a weighted average of a variety of polls. Tap on “Swing States” to see the presidential race for Ohio, Virginia and 10 other key Electoral College races.

If you subscribe to Barron’s you can read the whole review here or just download PollTracker from the Appstore right now.

The Damage

Sometimes — actually, often — I publish emails that I don’t agree with but that I think are important to read. That’s my thought with this one from TPM Reader MG. I don’t really comprehend this kind of thinking. And I’ve seen no *reliable* reports (as opposed to stuff in the Tory hack press from the UK) that President Obama thought he’d done a good job after the first debate. But here’s one readers take …

I’m still going to vote for Obama (if for no other reason: Supreme Court nominations), but I don’t really think, on a personal level, that a much-improved performance from Obama this Tuesday is going to heal the wounds from the first debate.

Buck Up, Wuss

TPM Reader RD (with a female first name) isn’t having any of it …

I think Dems deserve to lose if they feel like that person in the email. Dems are funny in a way Republicans are not; they are effeminate (for lack of a better word). They get their feelings hurt or perceive they are losing or they become disappointed in their candidate, they go around with the “Woe is me, I am so depressed but I’ll do what I have to do”.

And There’s More

Now from TPM Reader GW …

Concern Trolling. That was my read on the email about Obama living in an alternate reality.

What stuff. What a bunch of Malarkey. Obama was not prepared for what he got – not a debate but a slick, torrent of pure bullshit and new positions. He should have been, but that’s water under the bridge. He should have defended his position and that’s damn near inexcusable, but I suspect he was simply rocked back on his heels by the audacity of someone getting up on a national stage and flat out lying about his past and current positions. I’m also suere that conflicted with the advice he’d had not to appear the angry black man, leaving him effectively wedged. I don’t like that he COULD get wedged that way, but to jump from that to a “alternate reality”, seriously?

Bull****.

Who You Callin’ Effeminate?

TPM Reader RD responds (her earlier email here, which has created a storm) …

Yes, I am a female and an Army Veteran. I never voted for a Democrat until 2008 when the Republicans lost their mind with the Sarah Palin pick.

Buck Up, Wuss, Pt. #2

From TPM Reader JE

Regarding the letter from MG – I would just like to rant for a minute or two about Obama’s 08 supporters who now don’t like him. Although I couldn’t tell from the tone of his letter if he necessarily was one of those – sounds like he might be a disgruntled Hillary supporter who will take any excuse to complain about Obama. My mom is one of those and I’ve been trying to turn her around.
