Breaking in Wisconsin …
WISN 12 News has learned that a mass shooting has taken place near the Brookfield Square Mall.
WISN 12 News has been told that this is a “mass casualty” situation and that the scene is not secured.
1:19 PM: Abe Lubetkin is a local reporter with WISN-TV on the scene. Twitter feed here.
1:21 PM: Initial reports suggest the shooting occurred at or near the Azana Spa, in a strip mall in Brookefield, Wisconsin.
1:26 PM: Important to note. Only confirmation from reporter on the scene so far is that “multiple people” were shot. So magnitude of incident remains unclear.
1:27 PM: Live video feed from local station in Wisconsin.
1:45 PM: Needless to say, very fragmentary and incomplete reports. But details released so far by local press in Wisconsin: four received at hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Another three sent to hospitals with no details on condition.

This morning CBS/Quinnipiac released a poll of Ohio showing President Obama holding a 5 point lead in the state, specifically Obama 50%, Romney 45%. Since early October, we’ve seen a slew of polls of Ohio ranging from mid-single digits leads to ties. Only one — and that a low quality poll — has had Romney in the lead. But not all polls are created equal. We’ve only had a few premium, live caller, cell/landline polls. And this is one of them. This is a significant tightening against CBS/Quinnipiac’s last poll. But it points to Obama holding on to a real lead in this critical state.
