So I’m now considering having TPM officially become a bidder on Blackwater which has just now gone on sale.

Birther queen Orly Taitz was the “special guest” of the Republican Jewish Coalition at a weekend event in California that also featured luminaries like Karl Rove, former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN), Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), and Senate candidates Chuck DeVore and Carly Fiorina. Taitz is a candidate for secretary of state in the California GOP primary.

Delinquent

It turns out that one of the two New Jersey men arrested on their way to join the jihad in Somalia had an apparent history of violence. Mohamed Mahmood Alessa was placed “on home instruction” three months after starting high school at North Bergen High School in 2004 because school authorities thought he represented a danger to staff and other students. He was taught off-site with a security guard present.

Keep in mind this would have been when he was fourteen. It confirms me to some degree in my thoughts about this from yesterday.

Well, It is South Carolina

Don’t a lot of elections end with a last minute flurry of lie detector tests? Well, okay, maybe not really. But this is South Carolina. In the last two days two major figures in the South Carolina Republican gubernatorial contest have taken lie detector tests. One was candidate Andre Bauer who took a lie detector test to prove he wasn’t behind affair allegations against opponent Nikki Haley and another by accuser Larry Marchant to prove he had the one-night-stand with Haley he claims to have had. His came back “inconclusive.”
