Reader Pictures, Please

We received so many great reader photos from the Rally4Sanity that we want to try the same thing for Election Day. Send us your pics of the last-minute electioneering, the ground game and GOTV, what’s going in your precinct, election night campaign parties, and all the rest of what you’re seeing on Election Day. That’s in addition to the usual tips you send us. Keep those coming, too.

More Phone Problems in NH

Eight years after the notorious phone-jamming incident on Election Day in New Hampshire led to federal criminal convictions of Republican operatives, state Democrats are reporting phone outages today at offices around the state.

We’ve been looking into, and at this point it’s not exactly clear what’s happening. In a twist, state Republicans say they’re having phone problems, too, and Comcast has put out a statement saying extremely high call volume from election-related robocalls is causing congestion on its network.

But it’s not entirely clear if the Comcast problems are the cause of the problems Democratic and Republican offices are experiencing — or whether what is affecting Democrats is the same thing Republicans are reporting.

More when we know it.

DOJ Lays Down The Law On WWE

The Justice Department has sent a warning letter to WWE about its plan to distribute free WWE swag at polling places in Connecticut where company co-founder Linda McMahon is on the ballot.

Mistaking DOJ for a pro wrestling goon, Linda’s husband Vince McMahon started talking smack, accusing the department of politically motivated meddling:

WWE is being threatened by the U.S. Department of Justice of the Obama Administration…. This is clearly heavy-handed bullying from big government and would appear to be desperate political activity in closely contested elections in Connecticut.

Nonetheless, WWE has pulled the plug on the freebies-for-voters plan.

Sarah Palin Goes Meta

Sarah Palin, on Politico:

I suppose I could play their immature, unprofessional, waste-of-time game, too, by claiming these reporters and politicos are homophobe, child molesting, tax evading, anti-dentite, puppy-kicking, chain smoking porn producers…really, they are… I’ve seen it myself…but I’ll only give you the information off-the-record, on deep, deep background; attribute these ‘facts’ to an ‘anonymous source’ and I’ll give you more.

Narrowing The Map

Republicans need 39 seats to take the House, but by nearly all accounts there are already 13 Dems who are toast, to use the technical term.
