The report here is a little jumbled. And I’m always a bit skeptical of local news reports. But the gist is that the gun store where one of the Adam Lanza guns was originally purchased has some pretty bad inventory problems. Just days ago, an unmedicated schizophrenic was able to make off with an AR-15 without store employees even knowing it was gone.

From WFSB reporting out of East Windsor, CT …

A gun store in East Windsor where at least one of the weapons used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was sold was raided Thursday night.

Riverview Gun Sales is the same store where police believe a different man stole an assault weapon and was trying to carry out a similar attack.

In a video obtained by Eyewitness News, Jordan Marsh, 26, of South Windsor, can be seen stealing an AR-15 with a scope just four days earlier.

Marsh was caught stealing a 50-caliber long gun from the Riverview Gun Sales on Saturday. Police found the AR-15 in a duffel bag in a room at the Hartford Hilton that day.

Marsh reportedly suffers from schizophrenia and was off his medication when arrested on Saturday.

The reporter on the case appears to have a pretty direct line into the local police and federal agents. So I would not be surprised if there’s an element of law enforcement grandstanding going on. But if a certifiable man with violent tendencies is walking out with assault rifles, that’s a bit of a problem.
