Beto O’Rourke got an endorsement right out of the gate this morning from New York Rep. Kathleen Rice (D).

But note that she was one of the sixteen or seventeen House Democrats who signed that letter to prevent Nancy Pelosi from becoming Speaker, one of the leaders of that revolt that ended up fizzling out. In fact, she was widely seen as the leader of the effort, though Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) tended to get more attention for his opposition to Pelosi.

I’m basically a Beto agnostic. But this seems like a dicey positioning in this primary fight. Curious whether this is just random or the shape and positioning of his campaign.
