As you know there are six award categories for the Golden Duke Awards. But the real question this year is whether any contender can overcome Gov. Mark Sanford in the “Best Scandal — Sex and Generalized Carnality” category.
It may seem like a no brainer. But it’s not like there aren’t other contenders.
For instance there was Michael Duvall, the right-wing California state legislator whose career imploded after bragging to a colleague near an open microphone with lurid stories of his sexual escapades with a state lobbyist. She denied it. And more improbably, he denied it. But all to no avail.
And then there’s the prolific C Street group home crowd. Not just Sanford but Sen. John Enisgn and former Rep. Chip Pickering.
Who do you think is most deserving in this category? And remember, to win a Golden Dukes prize you need to send in an official nomination.
