I don’t know if you have gotten any comments like mine, but here goes. It’s more than the self-aggrandizing Red Dawn Fantasy. It’s about what many blue collar white males claim to fear but secretly hope for-a race war.
I’ve lived all over Texas, recently in Florida, and now in Georgia. I’m a straight white male with a flat top, so while I have been a liberal my whole adult life I am assumed to be a member of the other tribe. I have lived my life behind enemy lines and heard things that would peel paint.
I have been surrounded by the casual gun-nuttery your recent series of emails has discussed. Race it at or near the surface of the motivations I have observed. It what drives most of the crazy in this country.
