A couple caveats. Neither Reid nor his office will divulge the name of the Bain investor in question. In fact, Reid himself acknowledges that he has no idea if his anonymous source is correct, or has any way of knowing this information. President Obama, Harry Reid and John Boehner have reached a budget deal to avert a government shutdown before the election — but the Speaker apparently still needs time to strong-arm enough of his members into voting for it to pass the House.
