Oregon Democrat Accused Of Sexual Assault By Donor’s Daughter

Rep. David Wu (D-OR) — whose strange behavior has freaked out staffers in the past — may have just landed square in the middle of the next DC sex scandal.

The Oregonian reports that the daughter of a campaign donor has accused Wu of “an unwanted sexual encounter.”The paper reports Wu has told staffers that he did have sex with the woman, but the encounter was consensual. The woman apparently graduated high school in 2010.

Wu gave this statement to the Oregonian in response to their inquiries about the case:

“This is very serious, and I have absolutely no desire to bring unwanted publicity, attention, or stress to a young woman and her family.”
