Donald Trump is very healthy! The most healthy! His body is the best! Or so he tells us. TPM’s Caitlin Cruz reported Monday that Trump released a letter from his doctor promising that the Republican frontrunner would be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency. The letter didn’t elaborate on the health of George Washington or George W. Bush when elected, but Lenox Hill Hospital (his doctor’s employer) was quick to distance the healthcare center from Trump’s document.

Agree or Disagree?

Josh Marshall thinks that part of the reason the country has been thrown for such a loop by recent terror attacks is the Islamic State’s “brutally effective propaganda,” which targets Western audiences more directly than Al Qaeda’s public dispatches ever did. According to Marshall, “the videotaped decapitations of journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff had a massive, galvanizing effect on US public opinion.”

Say What?!

“This man is not putting forth ideas that are at the heart of what that movie is all about. I would love for Senator Cruz, and everyone creating fearmongering and hatred, to consider creating hope, optimism and love. Open your arms to these people, these refugees trying to get into our country, and open your hearts.”

BUZZING: Today in the Hive

From a TPM Prime member: “I can’t see this as a good move on any front for Cosby. He is in no criminal danger of prosecution, and it only opens him for discovery which would aid in forth coming counter suits against him by these women. From a PR perspective, its a no win all the way around…it keeps the story in the press, which is bad all the way around for him, and if he wins, like you said, it will appear that he bullied them into shutting up and if he loses, well…it makes their claims look even more certain. Maybe his lawyers think they can win and somehow preempt the women from suing him down the road. But that still leaves 43 other women, which will also be privy to everything that comes out in discovery. Unless Mrs. Cosby has been riding him about this so long now, that he is doing so to show her “look, I didnt do anything..now will you take the pill and go back to sleep, please??”
