Ivanka Trump appeared to try to clean up her father’s and brother’s recent comments on sexual harassment by calling harassment “totally inexcusable” in a Tuesday interview with Fox News, TPM’s Kristin Salaky reported. Trump’s comments came after USA Today published a report that two employees at the Trump Organization claimed they’d been terminated in recent years after reporting sexual harassment at the company.

Agree or Disagree?

Josh Marshall: “Trump isn’t an accident. His ascendence is tied to Republican voters who became a sort of Frankenstein’s monster of the GOP elites’ own creation. Weaned on decades of victim-speak, impossible goals, over-primed lust for revenge against various domestic bad guys and outsiders and perverts and all the rest, they finally rebelled and chose someone who at least said he could follow through on the political snuff films they see on Breitbart, Newsmax, WorldNetDaily and the rest. So who wants to replace Trump?”

Say What?!

“First of all, the climate hasn’t warmed in quite a few years. I mean, that is proven scientifically.”

– Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) compared those mounting efforts to address climate change to Joseph Stalin and Hugo Chavez.

BUZZING: Today in the Hive

From a TPM Prime member: “That’s the thing though…are they really a ‘significant voice in it’? I posit not without the GOP. So that if there is a schism following this election these people will no longer have a significant voice in our democracy. In our system the only reason these people have any voice is because of the GOP primary process. They are, at best, based on this year’s result, 40% of 25% of the electorate (10% of the electorate overall). So if there is a schism, and these folks abandon the GOP, they won’t have a significant voice in our democracy. They’ll be a constituency without a viable party. As useful as the Naderites-turned-Bernie-or-Busters are on the left.”
