The Oregon Militia Is Turning Out To Be Its Very Own Worst Enemy

The Gist: While federal officials have been criticized for leaving the militiamen to their own devices, those still at the compound are creating plenty of evidence to help the feds charge them later.

RNC Cuts Ties With NBC For February Debate, CNN Will Moderate Instead

Trump Tells Washington Post He’ll Sue Over Story On Casino’s Bankruptcy

The cordial relationship between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is officially over, says TPM’s Caitlin Cruz. Trump spent the weekend doubling down on his defense of real New York values, even invoking 9/11 to suggest that Cruz’s attack is baseless and crude. BUZZING: Today in the Hive

From a TPM Prime member: “It’s not surprising that major, long term secrets which require large human, institutional effort and occupy space that cannot entirely be kept invisible (hello, Trevor Paglen!) ultimately leak out and become a topic of informed, obsessive, and often fantastical discussion. But their secretive nature — in some instances understandably so (at least for a while), in other instances outrageously so (given their scope, importance, and the length of the effort to keep them secret) — in turn lend credence to the notion that conspiracies are everywhere.”
