In an interview with HuffPost Live, former Donald Trump political adviser Roger Stone said one thing that gets to the crux of Trump’s campaign: “There’s a difference between being a pop culture figure and running for president.” According to TPM newswriter Caitlin Cruz, the former reality television star still needs to learn how to balance running for president (state fair appearances) and the stunts of celebrity (releasing a sitting senator’s cellphone number).

From a TPM Prime member: “I saw both maps. I’m not sure they catch all the changes in California. For one thing, there appears to be substantial vertical movement. I grew up in Southern California. When I first moved up to Northern California, I noticed immediately how much cooler and cloudier it was than Southern California. In the last 10-12 years, there’s been a definite change. Flowers are frequently blooming in late January, for example or some as early as late December. It’s crazy. One of the reasons I moved to Northern California was because of the deep blue sky on many summer days. That too has disappeared. The sun is bright but the sky is pale blue or even white sometimes, like a very thin haze. When I talk with friends and relatives from Southern California who have fished or camped in Baja, they say weather in Southern California is beginning to remind them of weather they’ve seen in Baja, including summer remnants of hurricanes. All anecdotal but not easy to ignore.”
