Officials Confirm Creigh Deeds’ Son Shot Himself

Virginia state Sen. Creigh Deeds’ (D) son died Tuesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials confirmed to Politico after conducting an autopsy.

Deeds’ son, Gus Deeds, used a rifle to shoot himself after an altercation, and he died on the scene before responders could transport him to a hospital.

Sen. Deeds, who suffered multiple stab wounds, is in good condition, according to latest reports.
