NBC’s Jamie Gangel snagged an interview with Chris Christie and Mitt Romney Tuesday just after Christie endorsed the former Massachusetts governor.
Christie said he is endorsing Romney “simply on the merits,” saying Romney is the “best person for the job,” according to an NBC release.
Romney “didn’t promise” Christie anything for the endorsement, Christie said.
The interview is scheduled to air Tuesday night on NBC Nightly News and again tomorrow on “Today.”
