What happened to Megyn Kelly? The Fox News host returned from maternity leave this week, and quickly railed against a talk radio host who called her time off a “racket.”
“Megyn Kelly is bad ass,” Stewart said last night. “Never get between a mama grizzly and her maternity leave.”
Kelly explained the benefits of maternity leave to recover and bond with your newborn, making what Stewart called a good case for such benefits. “Which is great … and really weird,” he said. “Because that’s not Fox’s Megan Kelly I thought I knew.
Stewart rolled a clip contrasting Kelly’s previous anti-entitlement, free-market comments with her recent, softer remarks.
“I know what happened,” he said. “When you cut your hair, it sapped your conservative strength!
“Megyn Kelly has either inadvertently exposed the hypocrisy at the heart of conservative demonization of unions and the working class or … oh, my god, it’s worse than we thought: Megyn Kelly is suffering from postpartum compassion.”
