Jo Cox, Labour MP for Batley and Spen, has died Thursday after being attacked in her northern England constituency.
Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn the whole party and extended family are “in shock at the horrific murder” of the MP.
“Jo died doing her public duty a the heart of our democracy, listening ot and representing the people she was elected to serve,” Corbyn said in a statement.

She was 41 and a mother of two.
A 52-year-old man was arrested after the attack near Leeds, where she was meeting with constituents.

From the Guardian: Police are also investigating reports the suspect shouted “Britain First”, a possible reference to the far-right political party, as he launched the attack, Vikram Dodd, Nazia Parveen and Rob Booth report.
Graeme Howard, 38, who lives in nearby Bond Street, told the Guardian he heard the man shout “Britain First” before the shooting and during the arrest.
