President Donald Trump offered Mira Ricardel, a former deputy national security adviser, a nomination as the ambassador to Estonia after the first lady forced her out this week, Bloomberg reported.

According to two people familiar with the matter who spoke to Bloomberg, Ricardel turned down the job offer. Trump has offered up at least a dozen different titles for her to choose from since she left the White House, a senior official told Bloomberg.

“It’s been an honor to serve the president as deputy national security adviser,” Ricardel said in a statement to Bloomberg Friday. “I admire the president and first lady and have great respect for my colleagues who are dedicated to supporting the president’s policies, and I look forward to working with them in the months ahead.”

Ricardel was ousted after butting headings Melania Trump’s staff during the first lady’s trip to Africa last month. Upon her return, Melania Trump spoke with White House chief of staff John Kelly about her removal after she learned Ricardel had allegedly been spreading false stories and accusations about her staff.
