Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) intends to announce a presidential bid next week primarily centered on gun control, according to a Thursday Atlantic report.

He reportedly will announce his decision on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He also is planning a town hall on the issue.

Swalwell would not be the only campaign mounting a run on one issue: Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) has centered his long-shot bid on climate change.

  3. Please don’t.
