Bit sad how little the overall vote count is. Why do they hold their vote this way?
Just for reference sake: Over 90% of the state population is in Las Vegas (Clark County) or Reno (Washoe County).
Because they couldn’t figure out a more inconvenient, undemocratic, and convoluted way to pick a nominee.
According to NYT, “Vote totals for the Nevada Democratic Party are county convention delegates won.” So these numbers do not appear to represent the number of people voting.
Well, they could hold it on a week day like Republicans do, although that might not matter a whole lot in Las Vegas, the city that is open 24/7. But I think the consensus is that Saturday caucuses are much better attended.
