FILE - This Wednesday, April 14, 2010 file picture shows the George Washington Bridge with New York City in the background. About 17.3 million _ 6 percent of all Americans _ live within 50 miles of the Indian Point nuclear reactor, according to an AP population analysis. That would include parts of New Jersey and Connecticut and all of New York City, except for a chunk of Staten Island. In some accidents, New Yorkers would presumably head west to New Jersey using the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln Tunnel and the Holland Tunnel _ passageways that are rarely light on traffic. NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A federal appeals court has delayed the release of a list of unindicted co-conspirators in the 2013 George Washington Bridge lane-closing scandal.

A ruling from the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia on Tuesday calls for a June 6 hearing to decide whether to release the list.

One of the people on the list has challenged its release, arguing that his due process rights will be violated if the list is published and he would be branded a criminal.

A federal judge ruled last week that the list should be released by noon Tuesday after a request from media organizations including The Associated Press.

Two former allies of Republican Gov. Chris Christie have been indicted and face trial this fall. A third pleaded guilty.

  1. Krispy’s fighting this one tooth and nail. This is going to make him appear that much more guilty if he’s on the list when it’s released. (And I can’t imagine that he won’t be on it.)

  2. More trouble from Christie, I don’t doubt.
    Unabridged-gate.

  3. Surely it’s some low-level administration functionary who has the means and legal infrastructure to successfully press for emergency relief with a Federal Judge and then appeal to a higher court when said Judge rules against.

  4. I CAN’T TAKE THE WAITING!

I must awaken on the day Chris Christie is finally run out of town!

  5. Oh, he’s on it, Wally. Just as sure as the sun rises in the east every morning, he’s on it. What’s more, he knows he’s on it.

His despair has him grasping at straws. We don’t officially know who John Doe is, but we know who filed the motion and handled the appeal. It is an attorney closely allied to Krispy. They didn’t even have the good sense to prepare the motion and find another attorney not tied to Krispy to file the motion.

He isn’t even trying to hide it. He’s pathetic.
