President Trump directed his attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about his efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, according to a bombshell Buzzfeed News report published Thursday evening.

According to two federal law enforcement officials involved in the special counsel’s investigation who spoke to Buzzfeed, Trump was also in favor of a plan to set up a meeting between himself and Russian President Vladimir Putin during his campaign in order to propel negotiations for the tower.

Trump’s eldest children were also involved in the Moscow tower deal, according to Buzzfeed. Cohen reportedly regularly gave Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump updates about the development.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s office reportedly found evidence — witnesses and internal emails — that showed Trump instructed Cohen to lie to Congress about how long he had been pursuing the Moscow deal. Cohen confirmed the finding to investigators, according to Buzzfeed.
