Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), not one to take conservative criticism lying down, fired back at Washington Examiner reporter Eddie Scarry’s mockery of her outfit as she arrived on the Hill for new member orientation.
If I walked into Congress wearing a sack, they would laugh & take a picture of my backside.
If I walk in with my best sale-rack clothes, they laugh & take a picture of my backside.

Scarry was annihilated on Twitter for mocking Ocasio-Cortez’s simple skirt suit for seemingly being too expensive.
The since-deleted tweet features a picture of Ocasio-Cortez from the back walking in the halls of Congress.
Scarry later tried to walk it back.
ATTN! I posted a tweet earlier suggesting the incoming congresswoman looked well put together — ELEGANT even — despite suggestions she’s struggled. The tweet was taken as something else, so I’ve deleted it!

Fool has no idea that “ELEGANT” comes from inside.
This is such sexist bullshit! How many “critiques” do we see of how expensive a man’s suit is? My last check: 0
Ocasio-Cortez is good-looking and knows how to dress well. Is that a crime ?
(And well dressed, btw, is not a question about money, many smart women manage to look like a million by proper matching of inexpensive elements. )
Paul Manafort’s clothes, the Ostrich jacket in particular.
That’s brilliant, Cervantes.
