It turns out that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg owns a bunch of “Notorious RBG” T-shirts to pair with her badass “dissenting collar.”
During an event Sunday night at the 92nd St Y in New York City, Ginsburg was asked how she found out about the T-shirts, which spun out of an Internet meme that was inspired by her fiery dissents and that parodies rapper Notorious B.I.G.
“I think a law clerk told me about this Tumblr,” Ginsburg, who always seems to get a kick out of her Internet celebrity, explained. “And also explained to me what ‘Notorious R.B.G.’ was a parody on. And now, well my grandchildren love it and I try to keep abreast of the latest that’s on the Tumblr.”
“I have quite a large supply,” she added.
You down with RBG? Yeah you know me. Who’s down with RBG? Every last homey.
Not to be outdone, Scalia has stocked up on Notorious P.R.I.C.K. t’s
I took the quiz.
I got Kagan.
Get her to Autograph a few…
I’d buy one.
Ginsburg always struck me as someone who didn’t take herself too seriously.
