President Obama said that the 2014 midterms present the worst map for Democrats in about 50 years.

“There’s no doubt that, when you look at the Senate races, because of the fact only a third of the Senate is up at any given time, it tends to be a little bit arbitrary which seats are really going to be contested and which aren’t,” he said in an interview with Connecticut radio station WNPR. “So, for example, in this election cycle, this is probably the worst possible group of states for Democrats since Dwight Eisenhower.”

Obama said that when it comes down to it, the states up for grabs lean Republican.

“There are a lot of states that are being contested where they just tend to tilt Republican, and Democrats are competitive, but they just tend to tilt that way,” he said.

Just plain facts, unfortunately for all of us, not just the President. Although I am quite certain there’s a BIG surprise in store before the final tally is taken.

And you can quote me on that.

No doubt, the demographic trends alone will help reverse this gerrymeandering congressional situation.

  4. OT, watching the conservative idiots scream about gay marriage being allowed in Kansas now is warming my heart.
