Police said two women in West Jordan, Utah, were driving to a pawnshop to sell a gun on Monday when the 53-year-old driver was accidentally shot by her 33-year-old passenger.

Unified Police officer Jared Richardson said the women were traveling to sell the gun when the passenger, who was sitting in the backseat, accidentally fired the gun as she was handling it, reported KSL.com.

The 53-year-old woman was expected to survive the incident as Richardson said the injuries weren’t life-threatening. He also said that officials are still investigating the incident but believe it was an accident.
